The Local Arrangement Committee's "Conference Countdown" continues this week with some Houston trivia.

Where in Houston is? Houston may no longer use trolley cars, but you can still find one here (minus the tracks). We’ll post the answer next week!

Tip: Look at the TLA program, and plan your personal schedule on the TLA App. To download it, point your mobile web browser to http://m.core-apps.com/tla2012 or search for “TLA 2012” on your device’s app store. Don’t forget to add parties to your schedule!

Session "spotlights" from the Intellectual Freedom Committee

Recently we asked the chairs of TLA units (divisions, round tables, interest groups, and committees) if they had sessions that they were sponsoring or that other units were sponsoring that they would like to shine a little spotlight on before conference to let people know about them.  These could be sessions that they felt needed a little extra publicity, they were personally excited about, or felt that they were highly topical to their membership or the TLA membership as a whole.

2012 Conference mobile app is alive!

For the second year, we have a mobile app available for the annual conference.  Last year was the first year that we used the current platform and we heard lots of positive feedback on the app.  We hope that an earlier launch will help get the word out about the app and let people try it out before the conference and learn about some of the features.
