Parking and Getting Around Town
Some of you have been asking me about transportation and parking. Well, there are many options for both!
Let’s talk about parking first. There are several options. Parking on the street is one. Here is a link with a map of all the parking garages in downtown: http://www.fortworthparking.com/Places/Downtown. Please note the large space below 7th street, next to where Commerce curves. That is the convention center. If you click on the parking garage, the pricing comes up. (I really like this website.)
There will be a shuttle bus service to the convention center from the convention hotels. This year, the buses will not run in the middle of the day. Don’t worry. There are plenty of things to eat, place to go, and people to see in the area. You won’t even miss the buses! If you do need to get around and need some wheels, try the Molly.
The Molly is a trolley system to get you around downtown Fort Worth. According to their website, it’s free! Follow the link for details and route information: http://www.mollythetrolley.com/. It even goes by most of the convention hotels.
Need to get somewhere else? There are the trains: http://www.trinityrailwayexpress.org/index.html, which will take you to downtown Dallas, if you want to go. The station is directly across from the convention center, so it’s really convenient. There are the buses: http://www.the-t.com/, which will take you to some of the best places, like the stockyards. Be sure to check their websites for information on fares.
I can’t wait to see you on Wednesday! It’s going to be a great conference!
