After a 40 year absence, the 2005 Austin
'reunion' was a phenomenal conference!
489 Exhibiting companies in 664 booths boasted about the high traffic flow in
the exhibit hall throughout the 2.5 days, even at the last hour! The
Authors Area was as popular as ever. The attendees
loved the variety of exhibitors and the participation
of exhibitors at the
conference in the capacity of
sponsors and participants in
programs and events. One particular event was the
Rally at the Capitol....wow!
Attendees also enjoyed speakers,
Liz Carpenter,
Bertice Berry,
and
Gloria Estefan. We look forward to many more Austin conferences as we add this
beautiful capitol city to future rotation.

The TLA 2004 Conference has proven that TLA offers a quality audience of professional attendees from the entire Texas library market. Despite the concern over spring break attendance, many exhibitors exclaimed it was the
best
TLA conference to date and were extremely satisfied with the results of the conference. Our goal for future planning is to avoid mid-March dates to assure we will not conflict with spring break vacations.
