Click 2 Mail IS “the greatest thing since sliced bread,” when it comes to effective pre-show promotion -- to increase attendance to your display at the upcoming TLA Conference success.

Go to www.usps.com and select Click2Mail.

Simply create your pre-show promotion letter in a word-processing program. Then follow the simple instructions and transmit the letter, along with the database of names you want it to go to.

The service merges the letter with the names, and sends them first-class, all for less than the cost of a first-class stamp.

I have to say that this service is the best thing to have come along from the post office in years. And it’s sure handy for marketers that want to simplify direct-mail. Not only for pre-show promotion, but you can use it for on-going, year round, promotional campaigns.

Post Show Lead Follow-Up

By: Richard Erschik

If you don’t SELL your product/service during the show, you are going to have to contact prospects (leads) after the show.

Consider the following barriers to contact when you plan your post-show lead follow-up.

  • It requires 3.4 telephone dialing attempts to reach anyone for anything today.

  • New FAX laws prohibit faxing to anyone unless you have their written permission.

  • Spam and fear of virus makes people delete e-mail w/out opening.

So what’s left?

What’s was OLD is now NEW when it comes to personal contact and direct-mail is coming back. However, since 71% of traditional direct-mail is discarded before its opened. The way you package and deliver it is key.
