Opportunities Benefits Recognition

TLA exhibitors can choose many types of sponsorships at various levels. The list of opportunities on this page are TLA 2008 Conference sponsorships, of which many are new. They are available at levels offering many benefits.

In addition to these conference sponsorships, you can select a unique sponsorship, grant, or scholarship in your company's name. TLA sponsorship opportunities range from academic scholarships, conference travel stipends, and research grants, to areas such as legislative, leadership, and public relations. Your company name will be synonymous with the project of your choosing and at the level you choose. Multiple sponsorships can be added to give you eligible status at a higher level, which offers further benefits. Conference Bus Transportation  Available: $5,000

 

Sponsor name will appear prominently on signage in each bus and at all hotels and convention center. A thank you banner will be prominently displayed in the front exhibit hall foyer for exclusive sponsorship.

 


Conference CPE Online Certificate AVAILABLE: $1,500

 

Your company will be the exclusive sponsor of the Continuing Professional Education online certificate registration for the TLA 2008 Conference. The TLA conference has been approved by the SBEC and TSLAC as a continuing education provider to every Texas public and school librarians attending the TLA conference. The certification will be broadcast with your name appearing prominently as the sponsor. In addition, your company logo with live link to your website will be listed on the registration.

 


Conference Program Session  AVAILABLE: $500 - $1,000

 

Sponsor an entire day of programs in one meeting room holding 500+. Program topics and descriptions will be listed in the TLA 2008 Conference Program, available in early January.

 


Conference WiFi Service - AVAILABLE: $2,500

 

Your company will be the exclusive sponsor of the WiFi service during the TLA conference. Signage acknowledging sponsor will be located near the meeting rooms of the convention center. This is where WiFi will be available to attendees only.

 


Hall A Cafe Available: $5,000

 

Sponsor the popular TLA Hall A Cafe strategically located in Hall A near Attendee Registration, the TLA/TBA Store, the Internet Room and Hall A Exhibit Entrance. As exclusive sponsor, the hall cafe will be renamed to your company name so that the hall cafe sign will offer you maximum exposure! In addition, you will be allowed to place company promotional flyers at all tables.

 


Sponsor a Conference Scooter! AVAILABLE: $2,500

 

TLA provides over 30 scooters to 'mobility-limited' attendees to use throughout the conference. Your company sponsorship will be prominently displayed on each scooter. At the exclusive level, a thank you banner will be prominently displayed near the bus entrance.

 


Attendee Badge Holders/Lanyards  Compass Point/Picture Window Books

 

Sponsor's badge holders and lanyards will be used exclusively by 6,500+ TLA attendees. Items must be provided by sponsor and approved by TLA staff.

 


Authors Area — Librarian's Yellow Pages

 

Sponsor the popular TLA Authors Area in the exhibit hall. As exclusive sponsor, the Authors Area will be renamed to your company name so that the sign will offer you maximum exposure! In addition, you will be allowed to place company promotional flyers and small giveaways at the handout table.

 


Author Session with Texas Bluebonnet Award Winner — Bound To Stay Bound

 

As exclusive sponsor of this prominent event at the TLA conference, you will have an opportunity to sit at the head table and say a few words to the 1,800 attendees.  In addition, you are welcome to place a company gift at the place setting of each attendee. A thank you banner will be prominently displayed at the luncheon.

 


Closing Author Session SMART Technologies

 

The popular TLA all-conference closing author session will feature a prominent guest speaker. A thank you banner will be prominently displayed at the event.

 


Conference Attendee Survey — America Reads Spanish

 

Your company will be the exclusive sponsor of the online post-conference attendee survey. The survey will be broadcast with your name appearing prominently as the sponsor. In addition, your company logo and live link to your website will be listed on the survey.

 


Conference Information Center  Gumdrop Books

 

Your company will be the exclusive sponsor of the Conference Information Center located strategically at the exhibit hall entrance. A thank you sign will be prominently displayed at the Center.

 


Conference Newsletter  Gumdrop Books

 

The conference newsletter consists of a promotional broadcast email prior to the conference and a 4-day onsite conference newsletter. Sponsor's name and logo with appear prominently on each issue.


Diversity Fair — DEMCO, Inc.

 

The new Diversity Fair will be located in a high traffic area near the foyer escalators and Hall B exhibit hall entrance.  TLA units and Texas libraries will be represented during the entire 2.5-day show. A thank you banner will be displayed at the event throughout the conference.

 


Exhibit Hall B Cafe - Davidson Titles

 

Sponsor the popular TLA Exhibit Hall Cafe strategically located in Hall B near the popular Authors Area. As exclusive sponsor, the Hall B cafe will be renamed to your company name so that the cafe sign will offer you maximum exposure! In addition, you will be allowed to place company promotional flyers at all tables.

 


General Session I  netTrekker d.i.

 

Wednesday morning at the Dallas Convention Center and featuring  a prominent guest speaker. This opening session includes an audience of 2,000 and will include the presentation of TLA awards, including Librarian of the Year, Distinguished Service, Outstanding Service to Libraries, and Library Project of the Year. A thank you banner will be prominently displayed at the event.

 


General Session II  Brodart Company

 

Scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the Dallas Convention Center, it will feature  a prominent guest speaker. The audience will witness the introduction of new TLA officers, recognition of the Texas Book Festival winners, drawing of the TLA Disaster Relief Fund raffle winner, and corporate-sponsored awards. A thank you banner will be prominently displayed at the event.

 


Hetherington Fun Run/Walk — ProQuest

 

Sponsor this worthwhile event where your corporate logo appears on each participant's t-shirt.

 


Internet Room — MAXIMUM RIDE

 

Sponsor's website will be the default screen on all 30 computers in the Internet Room, which is used heavily by attendees throughout the conference. Sponsor is welcome to provide mouse pads or other gift items to Internet Room users. A thank you banner will be prominently displayed outside the entrance to the Internet Room.
 


Opening Entertainment at the General Session Thomson Scientific 

 

Sponsor the opening entertainment at the First General Session. Sponsor will be recognized verbally and on signage at the event.

 


Pocket Program - Gumdrop Books

 

The Pocket Program is the only item that all TLA attendees will receive at registration for program information. It has replaced the larger program of the past. The Program is designed to fit in the badge holders for easy access. Your ad will be placed on the back cover as exclusive sponsor of the planner.

This is the premier TLA all-conference social event. A thank you banner will be prominently displayed at the event.

This conference within a conference is the Texas Library Conference on Raising Student Achievement for School Administrators and Trustees held during the TLA conference. Inspired by First Lady Laura Bush's June 2002 White House Conference on School Libraries, this Texas conference will inspire, inform, and incite change in the ways Texas schools use libraries to improve student achievement.

 


Tall Texans Leadership Institute DEMCO, Inc.

 

Sponsor the prestigious Tall Texans Leadership Institute. Founded in 1994, the goals of the Institute are to foster leadership capabilities, to define leadership development activities for TLA members, and to nurture cultural diversity in library leadership among participants. Tall Texans alumni are currently 312, many of which currently serve in various TLA leadership roles.
