FAQs
- Is the Placement Center the same as the TLA Jobline?
No. The
Placement Center is the onsite “employment service’ which is offered once a
year at the TLA Annual Conference.
- Does the Placement Center operate in conjunction with the TLA Jobline?
Yes. TLA will use the existing
Jobline
information in addition to Placement Center listings posted before and during conference.
After conference the Jobline will continue to operate as an online
service, but all Placement
Center postings will be deleted. Employers are welcome to repost job openings to the Jobline if the
position is still available after the close of conference.
- Who can use the conference Placement Center?
Job Seekers: A job seeker is anyone who is looking
for a job. There is no fee for job
seekers who are registered for the TLA conference to use the Placement Center.
Job seekers must check-in at the Placement Center to use the bank of
computers listing all positions.
Employers:
Employers
are institutions with job openings within the State of Texas. Employers must have a position registered with the Placement
Center or TLA Jobline in order to gain access to the computer listings of job
seekers.
- Is conference
registration required to use the Placement Center?
Yes. Job seekers and employers
must register for conference; onsite registration will also be
available.
