Throughout the year, TLA hosts several conferences and events. These offerings provide TLA members with an opportunity for professional development and give the public a chance to learn more about libraries, literature, and the latest in educational technology and practice. FUTURE ASSEMBLY & ANNUAL CONFERENCE DATES

In addition to TLA-wide events, the many TLA units and divisions also sponsor numerous events, programs, and projects. Be sure to check out what TLA groups are doing be visiting our Groups Site and MyTLA.

Calendar activities include:

Annual Conference - TLA proudly presents the largest statewide library conference in the country.

School Administrators' Conference - A mini-conference (Strong Libraries, Strong Scores) within the annual TLA convention designed specifically for school administrators.

Annual Assembly - A planning meeting for TLA officers. All meetings are open to TLA members.

District Meetings - TLA's 10 regionally-based units hold work sessions and programs in early fall.

Texas Book Festival - TLA has partnered with the Texas Book Festival since the inception of festival, and TLA promotes libraries during this fall event.

Legislative Day (on odd numbered years) - This advocacy day allows all library supporters a chance to speak out for Texas libraries.
