Although our libraries have similar, basic services for today's constituents, there are a wide variety of new, cutting edge or very different services - some that meet local needs and some that are unique, unusual and represent very different ideas for serving constituents! Local and unique seed and plant and small equipment exchanges, trading/bartering services, borrowing small pets, maker and craft activities (unmediated and classes/workershops as well as giveaways,) tool checkout, circulating artwork - are more commonly known services but libraries are making way for circulating bicycles, WIFI-unit checkouts, self-publishing, small business startup spaces and assistance to "check out," roving nursing services with basic assessment and health care, intermittent access to buses outfitted for showers, tools and implements and assistance for patrons with disabilities and even more unusual services! Workshop attendees are encouraged to email us with examples of their unusual services and resources prior to the webinar!
