The Caldecott Medal is awarded by the Association for Library Service to Children to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.

The Newbery Medal is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.

ALA Best Books for Young Adults: The Best Books for Young Adults committee selects a list of adult and young adult books, and a list of top ten titles from the full list. It is a  list of fiction and nonfiction selected for their appropriateness for personal reading tastes of young adults.

The Texas Bluebonnet Award is a reader's choice award voted on and presented by Texas student representatives at the TLA annual conference each spring.
