Welcome to the Children's Round Table (CRT).

Our goal is to promote and improve library service to children and young people, and to support those who serve them. We do this three ways:

  • High quality book awards
  • Engaging programs at annual conference
  • Professional development through scholarship, recognition, and volunteer opportunities

This website will answer questions about how librarians like you are working year-round to fulfill these goals. Connect with other CRT members on Twitter

CRT is powered by our membership, so please consider becoming involved by volunteering to serve on one of our committees. We have a place for you.

Laurie Kirkscey, Chair

District Librarian, Blanco ISD

CRT is more than just amazing author panels at conference. We work all year to support our members as we grow in our profession.  I hope you can become involved in CRT this coming year.

Please click on the survey link below and let us know how you can help make CRT even better next year.

It’s time to start planning for #TXLA18. The theme for the conference is Perfecting Your Game: A Win for Your Community. The Children’s Round Table invites all interested members to submit conference program proposals.

The 2018 Conference will be held in Dallas April 10-13, 2018.

Please complete the form below to submit your proposal by May 10, 2017.  You will be notified of your acceptance status by July 31, 2017.
