TEXAS LIBRARY ASSOCIATION -- REFERENCE ROUND TABLE

Minutes of the meeting of April 7, 1978 in the Times Square East 
Room of the Fort Worth Hilton Hotel

The meeting was opened at 8:07 A.M. by Sharlee Jeser, Vice Chairman/
Chairman Elect.  There were about 150 people present.  Ms. Jeser 
briefly reviewed the Chairman's Annual Report.

The Secretary-Treasurer, James W. Leonard, reported that the current 
balance for the round table was $1963.48 as February 21.  He also 
summarized the results of the post card poll of desired priorities for 
the group.  These results have been included in the Chairman's 
Annual Report.

Lois Bebout, Chairman of the Publications Committee, reported on the 
plans for the new edition of Texas Reference Sources.

The nominations for the Vice Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer 
from the Nominations Committee were approved by the members 
present.  Ballots were distributed and collected at the end of the 
meeting.

Gary Menges, Chairman Elect of the College and University Libraries 
Division, announced the work shop on May 19 "Integrating Online 
Reference Services in Libraries," which is sponsored jointly by 
the Reference Round Table, the College and University Libraries 
Division, and the General Libraries of the University of Texas at 
Austin.

The remainder of the meeting was devoted to a presentation on the 
non-verbal aspects of reference service by Diane Horton, Counselor, 
Richland College, Dallas.

The meeting closed at 10:00 A.M.
