RRT 2006 CONFERENCE PROGRAM

Virtual reference services have been around a few years. Many thought they would be the second coming in terms of our ability to reach a broader audience. There has been little work done on developing methods to measure the cost effectiveness of VR. The presentation will explore methods of measuring cost effectiveness for this type of service and will include a discussion by a panel with experience in the actual application. The discussion will include a review of the positive and negative impacts of providing this interesting service that may or may not be ahead of its time.
