Programs of the Special Libraries Division

The membership of the Special Libraries Division is varied tapestry of information professionals serving in a widely diverse range of roles in both the public and private sectors. Our members serve users in private, public, corporate, non-profit, government, archive, and education settings, working with materials that are common to many traditional libraries as well as specialized materials related to art, business, culture, education, entertainment, genealogy, government, health, history, industry, law, legislation, medicine, music, nutrition, safety, science, sports, and theology. In addition to traditional library and information skills, our members have interest and expertise in community outreach, conservation, copyright, digitization, disaster recovery, emerging technologies, fundraising, grants, licensing, marketing, research, and advisory services. We endeavor to sponsor programs that reflect and support the diversity of our members, and we welcome your comments and suggestions.
