YART/Linworth Media Corporation TLA Conference Stipend

The Young Adult Round Table (YART) will annually award two stipends of $500.00 each to assist with the cost of registration and expenses for the TLA Annual Conference for two librarians involved in library service to young adults. Graciously underwritten by Linworth Media Corporation (LMC). – recognized for its support of school media specialists, technology coordinators, and teachers with a powerful combination of real-world practical information and professional development – and the Young Adult Round Table, a scholarship will be given to one public and one school librarian who are  current members of TLA and the Young Adult Round Table and who work with young adults, grades 6-12. Recipients will also receive a 1-year subscription to LMC, courtesy of LMC. The purpose of the TLA Conference Scholarship Stipend is to provide support for participation in the TLA Annual Conference.

YARI (Young Adult Reading Incentive) Award

The purpose of the YARI Award is to honor a librarian who has shown exceptional ability in motivating young adults to read by developing and implementing a reading incentive program for young adults in grades 6-12. The award will consist of an engraved plaque and a stipend of $500 to be presented at the Texas Library Association Annual Conference.
