Texas Teens 4 Libraries (TT4L) 

After a great deal of careful consideration, the Young Adult Round Table (YART) has decided to cease sponsoring the Texas Teens for Libraries (TT4L) Event.

The increased number of attendees during the event has caused undue burden on fellow Texas Library Association members, Young Adult Round Table program planners, publishers, and other exhibitors. While we are thrilled to have so many young people interested in the event, the chief focus of the TLA Annual Conference should be the professional development of our membership.

When TT4L was first imagined, opportunities for teens to connect with books and authors were few and far between. But in the past few years, cities throughout the state have begun to host teen book festivals. Among our conference cities, each host special events for teens and books including:

We hope that Texas teens will seek out these special events, and we hope that our membership will understand that YART seeks to enhance the lives of our teen readers by ensuring the best conference experience for those who serve them.
