    If you are applying for membership on a YART Selection Committee,
    you will be asked to answer a few additional questions upon submitting this form.

    CRITERIA for Lone Star/Tayshas Selection Committee membership

    • Members must be willing and able to make a 3-year commitment to the committee.

    • Members can expect to read in excess of 100 books annually.

    • Members must be present at the TLA Annual Conferences every year that they serve.

    • Members must be present at the TLA Annual Assemblies in Austin in July every year that they serve.

    • Members must be available to meet during November to make their final selections for the lists every year that they serve.

    • Members must be employed in full-time library positions directly serving patrons for whom the list is intended for the duration of their 3-year term.
