Purpose • Bylaws

The GLBT Interest Group was organized in order to address issues of concern to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered library staff and patrons.  Issues addressed may include fairness and discimination in personnel decisions and in collections; censorship; collection development; networking; and sharing information.

History

The GLBT Interest Group was organized by petition during the Summer of 2000.  We will hold our first meeting at the TLA Annual Conference in San Antonio, March 28-31, 2001.

How to Join

You will receive a TLA membership renewal form for the calendar year 2001 in the mail this fall.  Be sure to check the box (CC) for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered IG in Section IV of the form.  New members please visit the TLA Web site for information on joining TLA.
