Promotion

Laura Sare has been promoted to Technical Processing Coordinator for Government Documents. She coordinates the processing of United States and Texas documents with WTAMU's cataloging staff and supervises those student workers who process new documents. She also has authored the Browse Topics page on "Birds" which can be seen at http://www.library.okstate.edu/govdocs/browsetopics/birds.html Laura will graduate in May with her M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois GSLIS at Champaign-Urbana.

Dust Bowl

This Spring, the Government Documents display is on the "Dust Bowl". We have identified and cataloged many interesting documents, mostly published by the WPA and Department of Agriculture, from the 1930s that deal with the dust bowl and its effects in Texas, especially on ranching and agriculture.
