The Interlibrary Loan & Resource Sharing Round table works to promote and improve interlibrary loan and resource sharing service in Texas and to promote interlibrary cooperation among Texas libraries.

The next Interlibrary Loan and Resource Sharing Round Table meeting will be at
Annual Conference, April 2018, in Dallas!



Article I. Name

The name of the organization shall be the Interlibrary Loan and Resource Sharing Round Table of the Texas Library Association.

Article II. Purpose

The objective of the RRT shall be to promote and improve interlibrary loan and resource sharing service in Texas and to promote interlibrary cooperation among Texas libraries.

Article III. Membership

Any member of the Texas Library Association may become a member of the Interlibrary Loan and Resource Sharing Round Table as provided in the Texas Library Association Bylaws governing membership in Round Tables.

Article IV. Officers
Section 1. Definition

The officers of the Round Table shall be a Chairperson, a Vice-chairperson who shall be Chairperson-elect, immediate Past Chairperson, a Secretary-Treasurer, and a Councilor/Alternate to serve on the Council of the Texas Library Association. These officers shall serve as an Executive Board and administer affairs of the Round Table when the Round Table itself is not in session.

Section 2. Qualifications

An officer must be a member in good standing of the Texas Library Association, the Interlibrary Loan and Resource Sharing Round Table, and a resident of Texas.

Section 3. Terms of Office

(a) The Councilor/Alternate shall serve a term of office as designated in the Bylaws of the Texas Library Association.

(b) The other officers of the Round Table shall serve a term of one year effective at the close of the Texas Library Association Annual Conference or until their successors are elected.

Section 4. Vacancies

With the exception of the office of Chairperson, vacancies on the Executive Board shall be filled by the Chairperson by appointment, the person so appointed to serve only until the end of the elected term. A former chairperson must be appointed to fill a Past-Chairperson vacancy. A vacancy in the office of Chairperson whall be filled by the Vice-Chairperson and Chairperson-Elect, who shall serve until the end of his/her elected term as Chairperson. Should the office of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson both be vacated, the President of the Texas Library Association shall appoint a new Chairperson who shall proceed as above.

Article V. Nominations and Elections
Section 1. Nominations

The Executive Board of the Round Table shall serve as a Nominating Committee, excluding the current Chairperson, and shall secure the consent of the nominees in advance and shall report at the annual meeting. Nominations for the Round Table Councilor shall be in accordance with the Bylaws of the Texas Library Association.

Section 2. Elections

The officers shall be elected at a regular meeting of the Round Table by a majority vote of the members present and voting.

Article VI. Bylaws

The Round Table may at any meeting by a two-thirds vote of the membership present, adopt, suspend, or amend the Bylaws consistent with the Bylaws of the Texas Library Association.

Council shall hold at least two meetings a year, one at the time and place of the Annual Conference, and one at the Annual Assembly.

Section 5 Special meetings may be called by the President. Upon written request of ten members of the Council, a meeting must be called within forty-five (45) days. Special meetings may be virtual.
