Welcome! The purpose of this Round Table shall be to provide a forum for discussion of activities, programs and problems of instruction in the use of libraries or information literacy; to contribute to the education and training of librarians for library instruction; to promote instruction in the use of libraries as an essential library service; and to serve as a channel of communication on instruction in the use of libraries.

TLA 2014 Announcements

Bites with LIRT: Thursday, April 10, 11:30 am - 1:50 pm.  Participants should meet in Room 207 AB, Concourse Level after the “Thinking about Teaching: Mindfulness and Metacognition as Pedagogy” program.

Join LIRT members for a Dutch-treat lunch and discussion of library instruction and information literacy topics. 

Lunch will be at Boudro's - 421 E. Commerce, San Antonio, TX 78205


LIRT Business Meeting: Tuesday, April 8, 3:00 pm. Room 006, A River Level

The group will discuss and vote to approve new operating procedures The proposed document can be found on the Operating Procedures page, or it can be downloaded in .doc format here.  LIRT will also vote to approve the Annual Assembly 2013 minutes, which can be found on the Minutes page.


 Awards & Stipends  

Devin Zimmerman Conference Stipend - Applications are now being accepted.  Submissions are due February 10, 2014.

Library Instruction Project of the Year Award - Applications are now being accepted.  Submissions are due March 14, 2014.

Outstanding Service in Library Instruction Award - Applications are now being accepted.  Submissions are due February 28, 2014.
