Nominations for the Lois Bebout Reference Service Award may be submitted to the RRT Chair at any time prior to the first day of the TLA Annual Conference. If nominations are received, the Lois Bebout Reference Service Award Committee reviews the nominations and presents a recommendation to the RRT Executive Board for action at the Annual Assembly. The award is presented at the next Annual Conference. The award is given only as warranted and not necessarily annually.
Nominees must be members of the Texas Library Association and the Reference Round Table. Nominees should have, by sustained or singular activity, achieved distinction by enhancing reference and public service, strengthening librarian/library roles and positions in communities through professional leadership and/or scholarly contributions.
2. A one-page listing of qualifications, library accomplishments, library
and other activities, and recognitions or awards relating to library
activities.
3. Two additional supporting statements may be submitted.
Submit all nomination materials to the Reference Round Table Chair any time prior to the TLA Annual
Conference.
1. Cover letter stating the award sought and specific reason for
nomination. Name and address of the nominator and nominee are to be included.
