REFERENCE: WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE NEW MILLENIUM?
RRT Conference Program and Business Meeting.
Thursday, April 25, 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
Four panelists will share information about the special reference services they are offering in their respective libraries. Dee Dee Rogers, RRT Chair-Elect and Program Coordinator, will preside.
Our four panelists:
- Meredith Ault, Digital Librarian at UT-Austin's UT Telecampus, will talk about reference with distance education students.
- Linda Draz Adult Services Supervisor with North Richland Hills Library, will discuss interactive Internet reference service to public library patrons using LSSI software.
- Kathy Pomara Librarian, Shelton School & Evaluation Center in Dallas, Will share her experiences in serving learning disabled K-12 students.
- Margaret Peloquin Head Librarian, Austin Community College, Riverside Campus, will discuss reference service using laptops.
The official presentation of the RRT 2002 Outstanding Texas Reference Source Award will precede the program. A short Reference Round Table business meeting will follow the program.
