MARKETING REFERENCE SERVICES

RRT Conference Program and Business Meeting
Thursday, April 3, 2003, 10-11:50 a.m.

Sara Laughlin (Sara Laughlin & Associates, Inc.), a national consultant on strategic planning, program design, and communications, will introduce basic marketing concepts and then review the implementation of those concepts through the use of a number of case studies. The concepts will be applied to indicate how reference services may be marketed; however, these basic concepts can be applied to all aspects of marketing libraries. Methods will be introduced which attendees can use to begin the process of creating marketing plans for their services.

The official presentation of the RRT 2003 Outstanding Texas Reference Source Award will precede the program. A short Reference Round Table business meeting will follow the program.
