Business Meeting, April 12, 1989
Minutes

Ann Moore presided

Secretary/Treasurer's Report            

The minutes of the July 22, 1988, Executive Committee meeting were 
presented and approved.

As of March 30, 1989, RRT has a balance of $1,306.24 in its regular 
account and $406.48 in the Texas Reference Sources account.

Elections
Maurice G. Fortin was elected Vice Chair/Chair Elect.

Sharlee Jesser-Skaggs was elected Secretary/Treasurer.

David H. Larkin, Marsha K. Burchinal, and Ann Holder were elected 
to serve as the nominating committee.

By-Laws Change

After discussion, a by-laws revision committee was appointed.  
Members are Pat Stinson, Mary Ann Higdon, and Scott Downing.

They will attempt to clarify some sections which are murky or 
wrong. Of special interest is finding a mechanism by which more 
RRT members can participate in voting.  Only a small percentage 
attends the business meeting.

Award Nomination

Ann Moore handed out drafts of the guidelines for the Lois Bebout 
Reference Services Award, and suggestions were offered from the 
floor.  The guidelines will be published in the RRT newsletter to 
solicit comments from members.
