Chair Martha Tarlton called the meeting to order at approximately 1:35 PM. Jack Becker gave the Secretary's report. It was read and approved with a few minor corrections. The Treasurer (again Becker) reported that RRT had a fund balance at the beginning of the year of $7,941.24. RRT received $1,422.55 mostly from TLA for unit allotment. Expenses for the year are expected to be $1,606.94. Which means we will spend $184.39 more than we take in. This was not considered a problem since we are planning to produce another edition of Texas Reference Sources next year, which usually makes RRT a little money.

Lynn Hambric, Chair of the Texas Reference Source Award committee, reported that this year's winner was Field Guide to Spiders and Scorpions in Texas. Cheryl Smith of Gulf Publishing accepted the award for the publishers.

Jack Becker awarded the Lois Bebout Award on behalf of the Bebout Committee. The award was given to Claudette Hagel. RRT voted to help five of its members go to Tall Texans. They are: Dianne Duesteshoelt, Sherry Lazenby, Tina Oswald, Elaine Plotkin, and Jill Sumpter. They will share $500.00.
