Reference 2.0: Using New Web Technologies to Enhance
Public Services

Discover practical applications
of Web 2.0 in reference and public services. A panel
discusses how they implemented the technology and
assessed patron use and satisfaction. Time for questions
and audience examples of how they are using these
technologies will be provided.
Presenters: Miranda Bennett, instruction
librarian, University of Houston Libraries; Susan
Clarke, director of digital projects, Stephen F. Austin
State University Steen Library; and Eric Frierson,
education and political science liaison, University of
Texas at Arlington. [A business meeting follows the
