A Call for Contributing Editors

Editor's Essay

Here’s another way you can get some public recognition for your efforts! A vote of the RRT Executive Committee has authorized me to call for Contributing Editors to the RRT Newsletter.

Just what does it take to be a Contributing Editor? Basically the name says it. Contribute. To the newsletter, that is. Anyone who contributes a substantial piece (like the one by Denise Landry-Hyde in this issue) will be listed as a Contributing Editor for the issue in which the piece appears.

Agree to submit ANYTHING for two issues in a row, and you will be listed as a Contributing Editor. These can be as brief as an annotated reference source or Web site.  We’re always looking for those “how we done it good at our library” articles, or brief issue-oriented thought-provoking essays. Pretty much anything related to library reference service in any of its myriad forms is welcome. Just let me know you want to be one—a Contributing Editor—that is! and get that material in between now and the deadline for the next issue, and voila! you is one!
