Bradley Chalkers is the class misfit and the school year is headed for disaster for him. Jeff is the new boy who wants to make friends. Carla is the counselor who becomes friends with each of them. Eventually Bradley learns to handle his fear of failure and to curb his constant urge to lie, and Jeff learns to deal with peer pressure when he has to choose between fitting in or being friends with Bradley.
