TALL Texans Round Table Past Classes
Each TALL Texans
class consists of 24 participants and mentors, including the TLA
President-Elect. A committee selects applicants based on the following
criteria:
- Librarians must have at
least five years of experience in library or information science
fields; laypersons mush have at least three years of recent involvement
in library or information science fields
- Applicants must be currently employed in the field of library or information science (employment not required for laypersons)
- Applicants must be a current member of the Texas Library Association
Applicants may be nominated by others
or may nominate themselves. Further information about the application process is available here.

TALL Texans participants
have a strong tradition of service in the Texas Library Association.
During the 2002-03 term, there were six TALL Texans on the TLA
Executive Board. Eleven of the 31 standing and ad hoc committees were
chaired by TALL Texans, as were two of the four TLA divisions, six of
the 25 round tables/interest groups, and four of the ten TLA districts.
