Recommended Bilingual and Spanish Reading List

AUSTIN – Texas librarians announced the best bilingual and Spanish books for children in April at the 2017 TLA Annual Conference in San Antonio. The Tejas Star Reading List consists of recommended Spanish and/or bilingual books, selected by librarians comprised of the Texas Association of School Librarians (TASL), the Children’s Round Table (CRT), the Public Library Division (PLD), and the Latino Caucus. The purpose of the annual list is to encourage children ages 5-12 to explore multicultural books and to discover the cognitive and economic benefits of bilingualism and multilingualism. The Tejas Star Reading List is intended for recreational reading.
