TexTreasures

Researchers look for primary source material in a variety of subjects and formats. Genealogists look for family records. Local and state historical societies need unique and fragile material chronicling the history of a town or region. Texas libraries hold many such materials, yet these materials are often available only locally, if at all. Making these treasures more accessible is the goal of TexTreasures.

A part of TexShare, a library resource sharing program, TexTreasures is an annual grant program administered by the Library Resource Sharing division of the Texas State Library & Archives Commission (TSLAC). This program makes available $100,000 in grant funds each year to support projects that help index, catalogue, digitize, or otherwise make special collections in Texas libraries more accessible.
