Includes information on insurance, risk management, jobs, and careers. Directory of links and facts relevant to the nonprofit sector.     Current information on all active foundations, both private and community, registered in Texas. Entries, arranged alphabetically by foundation name, include officers and addresses, purpose and activities, areas of interest, types of support, grant distribution, income, assets, and application details, including restrictions and deadlines. Tables summarize foundations by total assets, by total grants, and by grant distributions using the latest tax information available. Indexed by areas of interest, types of support, city, trustees and officers, and foundation name. Internet version provides information on all 3,264 foundations registered in Texas and complete profiles on 2,200 foundations. Periodically updated during the year. Subscriber can select multiple search criteria and create a prospect list, which can be printed or emailed. Search criteria include areas of interest, total assets, foundation name, total grants, location, types of support, trustees and officers, and zip code.

    Primary source for information from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Updated as needed. Access to a variety of state government resources and services, including state and local economic data, population statistics, gross and retail sales information, state spending and revenue numbers, and various comptroller publications (including full-text, online versions of Texas innovator and Fiscal notes). Up to five years of back issues available for some publications. List of organizations exempt from limited sales and use tax, which is no longer available in print, in "Texas Taxes" section. For quick access, type "exempt" in search box on home page, and then click on exempt organization search form. "Texas Taxes" also includes WebFile for online filing of Texas sales tax return, as well as additional forms and tax information. "Education" section contains goals, reports, and documents, such as public school performance reviews. "Texas Finances" section provides, among other things, information about historically underutilized businesses (HUB) and instructions and listings regarding unclaimed property (also linked from home page). Site provides selective list of local, state, and federal websites.
