SOILS:
Identifies the soil series of the natural geographic regions of Texas. Map indicates distribution. Many of the soils are found in no other part of the U.S. and have widely differing characteristics and features.
Contains all data for soils sampled and analyzed by the Soil Characterization Laboratory from 1978 through Jul. 1983. Gives baseline soil information for personnel conducting soil tests for farming, ranching, roads, and waste disposal. Intended for personnel with expertise in soil and water resources.
Series contains data and maps of soil properties and predications of soil behavior. For individual counties, check the Monthly catalog of U.S. government publications and the Service’s List of published soil surveys.
