What trends do you see in the library market?
Libraries are continuously changing to meet their patrons’ needs. Not only are they a place for reading, gathering information and checking out items, they offer learning programs for all ages. They provide spaces for community meetings, children’s activities and instructional purposes. Larger spaces for meetings and especially computer access are becoming characteristic of today’s libraries.

What motivates you to be a member of TLA?
The opportunity to meet library professionals from not only Texas, but surrounding states, is always exciting. The annual conference is a fantastic event that allows us the opportunity to interact with librarians and decision makers. Needs, ideas, trends, building and space usage, furniture and equipment are topics of discussion. What better event than the TLA annual conference to learn about the needs of the library community and to provide assistance.
