TLA’s Legislative Day, February 16, is an important opportunity to show support for libraries and to advocate to state legislators. Learn more about Legislative Day.

If you are not able to attend Legislative Day in Austin, make tomorrow, February 16, your own Virtual Legislative Day!

  • Gather friends and supporters to send messages to state legislators tomorrow. Go to: TAKE ACTION! 
  • Send emails, faxes, or make phone calls.
  • Get students and patrons to help.
  • Post a messages on social media sites.

Here’s a sample message (with links) to post on Facebook.

You can customize your message to describe the negative impact of budget cuts. Pass this link along to everyone and anyone to have them send an email to help restore library funding.
